Artist of the Day: Rustie

All I can listen to recently is Warp Records' dub prodigy, Rustie.
Planet Notion best describes his full-length 2011 release Glass Swords stating:
"[it] is like a hurling, acid fueled voyage with Dr. Who. The intergalactic melodies swirl between searing 80s guitar tones, meets new-millennium R&B and Pop, meets old school rave, meets
mid-decade electronic music."

"After Light"
Fullscreen these visuals and let this song carry you away on a transfixing journey.

"All Nite"
Showcases a more pop/R&B side of Rustie... very enjoyable electro.

I consider Glass Swords a must-listen for any dubstep/electronica fan.

Song of the Day: "Long Journey" - Allah-Las

"Long Journey"
"A sound cultivated from the annals of California culture;
the perfect mixture of the sands, the seas, the streets and cities of the golden state."

Also, listen to 'Tell Me (What's On Your Mind)' on the band's Bandcamp!

Song of the Day: "Castles in the Snow" - Twin Shadow

cool hat man.

"Castles in the Snow"
My bestest deskmate plays this song at work
and I have asked her the name of it approx 7 times.
So, I am finally making it my Song of the Day... long overdue.

Thank you Melissa.
