"Plattsburgh, NY" - MULEKID

Today's Song of the Day is by brilliant Montreal-based artist MULEKID, and is featured on Ryan Hemsworth's project Secret Songs.  "Plattsburg, NY" is comprised of dulcet, delicate male vocals & elegant instrumentation reminiscent of Bon Iver & early Coldplay.

note from ryan [hemsworth]: "i've been friends with and a fan of mulekid for a while. a montreal kid through and through; holes up in his apartment and makes countless amazing music for his own pleasure, rarely sharing anything until it's absolutely perfect. 'mulekid' is his newest invention, and his use of live instruments + his own voice is really exciting to me. this is the next big step in his career."

Song of the Night: "Look At Where We Are" - Hot Chip

"Look At Where We Are"

From the deep silence of my mind
Is something I'm trying to find
When it speaks you know you will hear my name
Not so complex in design
But harder to mind
As I step, in vain
Won't you come down to my arms
There's something I'm ready to say
Would you call, my name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name

A memory tells us that we're blessed
But opening up this chest
I discovered that a heart is lame
Falling behind what we guess
But trying to do our best
Do we stop, do we stop in frame
Won't you come back to my heart
There's something I'm trying to say
Would you call, my name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name

Song of the Day: "Lost In My Mind" - The Head And The Heart

"Lost In My Mind"

Put your dreams away for now
I won't see you for some time
I am lost in my mind
I get lost in my mind

Momma once told me
You're already home where you feel loved
I am lost in my mind
I get lost in my mind

Oh my brother
Your wisdom is older than me
Oh my brother
Don't you worry 'bout me

Don't you worry
Don't you worry, don't worry about me

How's that bricklayin' comin'?
How's your engine runnin'?
Is that bridge gettin' built?
Are your hands gettin' filled?
Won't you tell me, my brother?

'Cause there are stars
Up above

We can start
Moving forward

How's that bricklayin' comin'?
How's your engine runnin'?
Is that bridge gettin' built?
Are your hands gettin' filled?
Won't you tell me, my brother?

'Cause there are stars
Up above

We can start
Moving forward

Lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
Oh I get lost in my mind
Lost, I get lost

I get lost in my mind
Lost in my mind
Yes I get lost in my mind,
Lost, I get lost
I get lost

Oh I get lost

Oh I get...

Song of the Day: "Come Back To Me" - The Rapture

"Come Back To Me"

Nothing like a dancy indie rock song with a mantra!

I welcome you back into my feet
My spirit
Loving spirit

I welcome you back into my hands
My spirit
Frustrated spirit

I welcome you back into my heart
My spirit
Nourishing spirit

I welcome you back into my legs
My spirit
All loving spirit

Aren't we all children

I welcome you back into my ears
My spirit
Vibrating spirit

I welcome you right into my head
My spirit
Strengthening spirit

Aren't we all children

I welcome you back into my feet
My spirit
Loving spirit

I welcome you back into my hands
My spirit
Frustrated spirit

I welcome you back into my ears
My spirit
Vibrating spirit

I welcome you right into my head
My spirit
Strengthening spirit
