Song of the Night: "Look At Where We Are" - Hot Chip

"Look At Where We Are"

From the deep silence of my mind
Is something I'm trying to find
When it speaks you know you will hear my name
Not so complex in design
But harder to mind
As I step, in vain
Won't you come down to my arms
There's something I'm ready to say
Would you call, my name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name

A memory tells us that we're blessed
But opening up this chest
I discovered that a heart is lame
Falling behind what we guess
But trying to do our best
Do we stop, do we stop in frame
Won't you come back to my heart
There's something I'm trying to say
Would you call, my name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name
Look at where we are
Remember where we started out
Never gonna be without each others love again
Look at where we are, are, are
I need your name

Song of the Night: "I'll Be Missing You" - Puff Daddy & Faith Evans feat. 112

"I'll Be Missing You"

Back when Diddy "Dirty Money" was Puff Daddy, Faith meant Evans, not Hill,
& life made some semblance of sense...

Song of the Night - "Lights" - Journey

"Lights"

When the lights go down in the city
And the sun shines on the bay
Ooh I want to be there in my city, oh oh
Oh, oh, oh oh

So you think you're lonely?
Well my friend I'm lonely too
I want to get back to my city by the bay
Oh, oh, oh oh

It's sad, oh there's been mornings
out on the road without you
Without your charms
Oh ooh oh oh, my my my my my
Oh, oh, oh oh

When the lights go down in the city
And the sun shines on the bay
Ooh I want to be there in my city, oh oh
Oh, oh, oh oh

Song of the Night: "Diet Mountain Dew" - Lana Del Ray

"Diet Mountain Dew"

You’re no good for me
Baby you’re no good for me
You’re no good for me
But baby I want you, I want you

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Never was there ever a girl so pretty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Can we get it now low, down and gritty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Baby put on heart shaped sunglasses
Cause we gonna take a ride
I’m not gonna listen to what the past says
I’ve been waiting up all night

Take another drag turn me to ashes
Ready for another lie?
Says he’s gonna teach me just what fast is
Say it’s gonna be alright

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Never was there ever a girl so pretty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Can we get it now low, down and gritty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Let’s take Jesus off the dashboard
Got enough on his mind
We both know just what we’re here for
Saved too many times

Maybe I like this roller coaster
Maybe it keeps me high
Maybe the speed it brings me closer
I could sparkle up your eye

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Never was there ever a girl so pretty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Can we get it now low, down and gritty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

You’re no good for me
Baby you’re no good for me
You’re no good for me
But baby I want you, I want you

You’re no good for me
Baby you’re no good for me
You’re no good for me
But baby I want you, I want you, I want you

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Never was there ever a girl so pretty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Can we get it now low, down and gritty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Never was there ever a girl so pretty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Baby stoppin’ at seven eleven
There in his white Pontiac heaven
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Never was there ever a girl so pretty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

Diet mountain dew, baby, New York City
Can we get it now low, down and gritty
Do you think we’ll be in love forever?
Do you think we’ll be in love?

You’re no good for me
Baby you’re no good for me
You’re no good for me
But baby I want you, I want you

Song of the Night: "Five To One" - The Doors

"Five To One"

Yeah, c'mon
Love my girl
She lookin' good
C'mon
One more

Five to one, baby
One in five
No one here gets out alive, now
You get yours, baby
I'll get mine
Gonna make it, baby
If we try

The old get old
And the young get stronger
May take a week
And it may take longer
They got the guns
But we got the numbers
Gonna win, yeah
We're takin' over
Come on!
Yeah!

Your ballroom days are over, baby
Night is drawing near
Shadows of the evening crawl across the years
Ya walk across the floor with a flower in your hand
Trying to tell me no one understands
Trade in your hours for a handful dimes
Gonna' make it, baby, in our prime

Come together one more time
Get together one more time
Get together one more time
Get together, aha
Get together one more time!
Get together one more time!
Get together one more time
Get together one more time
Get together, gotta, get together

Ohhhhhhhh!

Hey, c'mon, honey
You won't have along wait for me, baby
I'll be there in just a little while
You see, I gotta go out in this car with these people and...

Get together one more time
Get together one more time
Get together, got to
Get together, got to
Get together, got to
Take you up in my room and...
Hah-hah-hah-hah-hah
Love my girl
She lookin' good, lookin' real good
Love ya, c'mon

Song of the Night: "The Rip Tide" - Beirut

"The Rip Tide"

And this is the house where I
I feel alone
Feel alone now

And this is the house where I
Could be unknown
Be alone now

Soon the waves and I found the rolling tide
Soon the waves and I found the rip tide

This is the house where I
I feel alone
Feel alone now

And this is the house where I
Could be unknown
Be alone now

Soon the waves and I found the rolling tide
Soon the waves and I found the rip tide

Song of the Night: "Wouldn't It Be Nice" - Beach Boys

"Wouldn't It Be Nice"

...and a cover of the song by She & Him

Wouldn't it be nice if we were older
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long
And wouldn't it be nice to live together
In the kind of world where we belong

You know its gonna make it that much better
When we can say goodnight and stay together

Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up
In the morning when the day is new
And after having spent the day together
Hold each other close the whole night through

Happy times together we've been spending
I wish that every kiss was neverending
Wouldn't it be nice

Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true
Baby then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do
We could be married
And then we'd be happy

Wouldn't it be nice

You know it seems the more we talk about it
It only makes it worse to live without it
But lets talk about it
Wouldn't it be nice

Good night my baby
Sleep tight my baby

Song of the Night: "Floating (Time Isn't Working My Side) - Portugal. The Man

"Floating (Time Isn't Working My Side)"

We may not be hopeless
But we're still helpless in the end
Just remember your floating
Remember the love that we were in

So inconstantly we swim
A time with family and our friends
I know I'm not hopeless
I'm only helpless in the end

I know you love questions
But they go unanswered in the end
Did you forget you're floating
Did you forget we were only men

We're getting all our time
Time isn't working my side

We're getting all our time
Time isn't working my side

Time isn't working my side [Repeat]

Song of the Night: "Dreams" - Fleetwood Mac

"Dreams"

Written by the great Stevie Nicks.... such a phenomenal song.

Now there you go again
You say you want your freedom
Well who am I to keep you down
It's only right that you should play it the way that you feel it
But listen carefully to the sound of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat, drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering
What you had, and what you lost
what you had, and what you lost

Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
They say, women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean you'll know
You'll know

Now here I go again, I see the crystal vision
I keep my visions to myself
It's only me who wants to wrap around your dreams and
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell,
Dreams of Loneliness, like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering
What you had, And what you lost
What you had, oh what you lost

Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
They say, women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean you'll know

Oh thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
They say, women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean you'll know
You'll know
You will know
Oh oh oh you'll know

"Leonora"

Leonora you are missed by the sun
I miss you too
So when the moon is done
Speak to me baby
Help me see the light
That light that you know so well
You soldier of the night

Come out and play (and play)
Come out and play (and play)
Kiss me on this day (kiss me)
Kiss me on this day (kiss me)

You gave me 77 reasons to love you that night
In you I saw your fire
In you I saw your fight
I love the way you walk
And that you take it slow
I want that patience, too
I need to learn it so

Come out and play (and play)
Come out and play (and play)
Kiss me on this day (kiss me)
Kiss me on this day (kiss me)

She speaks to me
The moon sings her song
She speaks to me
The moon speaks her song
